My favorite part of a new install or fresh move up, a clean and crisp flip up. You shouldn’t have to wait days to pull your hair up after a fresh install, they should be comfortable right off the bat. One of the first steps to comfortable extensions is clean sectioning.

Two completely different pictures from today but believe it or not, they do have something in common.

A healthy scalp, which is very important! If you scalp isn’t healthy then your hair probably isn’t either. Scalp health is so important when it comes to extensions. Notice how the scalp doesn’t have any red spots in either picture, that is a happy healthy scalp. Doesn’t matter if it’s an 8 week grow out or the day of install, there should be no redness on the scalp. I have spent countless hours watching, learning and practicing to be able to give my guests the best extension install that I can.
Extensions get a bad rep for damaging hair, and this right here is one reason why. Some people get extensions and the day of installing have visible red tension spots on their scalp. Over time the hair in that spot can fall out, leaving you with a small bald spot. And of course no one wants that.

This is why I show pictures of what’s underneath, because it is just as important as the final look.

Let’s talk about blondes yellowing…

Do your ends ever look dull and brassy compared to the rest of your hair? This guest came in for a touch up and had some dullness and yellow ends compared to the rest of her hair. So we changed it up a little..we did a mini highlight then tipped out her ends to brighten those ends and finished with a gloss to enhance the tone she was after and added amazing shine.

Here are a couple reasons why that may be happening:
🔥hot tools are set too high
💦hard water build up
🚿shampooing your hair with really hot water
🧴your not using quality shampoo/styling products

So what do we need to do….
✨Turn those hot tools down
✨Shampoo once a week with a detox shampoo to help remove impurities.
✨Turn the hot water down a little in the shower, I know it’s cold out and that hot water feels good but the hot water has the same effect as your hot tools
