What happens when the power💡 goes out ⚫️? Well it took 16 years of spray tanning, but I can finally give you my answer…
You bust out the battery powered spray 🔫 you bought as a “just in case, but hope I never have to use this”, borrow a battery powered light from misfitstattooco and hope that the 🔫 battery had enough charge to get through the tan (spoiler, it did…with about 30 seconds to spare 🫣)
Thankful for a client who was up for an adventure, that was certainly a new experience for both of us 😆

Bridal Tan Pro Tip: If you’re not experienced with spray tans but are planning to get one for your wedding, book a trial tan if you can.
This helps us nail down the depth and tone and allows for any needed adjustments to get that glow just right for your big day ✨
Many brides choose to do their trial for their shower or bachelorette to dual purpose the tan, but do make sure your trial is at least 2 weeks before the wedding date.

If there’s rain ☔️ in the forecast on your spray tan day, here’s what you can do to to not mess up that masterpiece:
💧Skip the shorts, even if it’s warm. Choose a loose pair of pants instead
💧 Have a hoodie or a jacket with a hood
💧 If you’re not driving directly into a garage when you leave your appointment, have an umbrella in the car. I will get you to your car at the studio with my big umbrella, but it’s wise to have one for after just in case
💧If you get home and notice water has still dropped on your skin: don’t panic. Grab a dense makeup brush and blend the area

One of the best parts of this job is getting to watch clients grow from young girls to whole amazing humans. I see it one tan at a time. Sometimes it’s once a year for a dance, sometimes it’s more. The changes are sometimes subtle, and sometimes not.
I met this particular human the day she was born. Her mom and I have been friends since I was in high school. I started doing her tans in middle school for cheer, and somehow last week it was junior prom. Next year it will be graduation.
Thank you for letting me share in a tiny bit of each of your journeys, I certainly don’t take them for granted. 🩷
