Your spf choice is so important, not only when you have a spray tan, but anytime you apply. My favorite resource for choosing a sunscreen is EWG.org’s sunscreen guide. You can view their top rated and search options you have at home to see how they score based on their ingredients.

Your safest choice is always going to be a zinc-based mineral lotion product. They are thicker which gives some protection to your tan when exposed to salt or chlorine, and the ingredients are much better for your skin. But whatever you do, resist the urge to use a spray. I know it’s convenient, but it will strip your tan in no time. Your tan is an investment, so do whatever you can to protect it 💛

What happens when the power💡 goes out ⚫️? Well it took 16 years of spray tanning, but I can finally give you my answer…

You bust out the battery powered spray 🔫 you bought as a “just in case, but hope I never have to use this”, borrow a battery powered light from misfitstattooco and hope that the 🔫 battery had enough charge to get through the tan (spoiler, it did…with about 30 seconds to spare 🫣)

Thankful for a client who was up for an adventure, that was certainly a new experience for both of us 😆

Bridal Tan Pro Tip: If you’re not experienced with spray tans but are planning to get one for your wedding, book a trial tan if you can.

This helps us nail down the depth and tone and allows for any needed adjustments to get that glow just right for your big day ✨

Many brides choose to do their trial for their shower or bachelorette to dual purpose the tan, but do make sure your trial is at least 2 weeks before the wedding date.
