This fragrance is deeply personal to me. I’m honoring my cousin, Tré Jordan Paquette, with a scent that matches his fly.

Tré was only 17 when he passed in 2011. Today, he would be in his early 30s, but in my heart, he’ll always be 17 — bold, fearless, fun, full of life, and always ready to look good, smell good, and make an entrance.

He was hilarious, unforgettable, and the kind of person who could make anyone smile. He knew everybody, everybody knew him, and wherever he went, he brought the energy with him. He was truly the life of the party.

FOREVER 17 is more than a fragrance. It’s a feeling — that time in your life when you were young, confident, taking risks, chasing a good time, and making memories that still live with you today.

It’s the scent of late nights, fresh fits, lit energy, and always wanting to look and smell your best.

While recovery is often associated with substance use and mental health, this month at Shy’s Beauty Stop, I want to expand that conversation.

Because sometimes, **recovery looks like learning how to live after spending so long just trying to survive.**

Recovery can be healing from heartbreak.
Grief.
Burnout.
Instability.
Unhealthy relationships.
Difficult environments.
Or simply a season of life that required you to be strong for far too long.

Sometimes recovery is learning how to rest without guilt.

Learning that peace doesn’t have to feel suspicious.

Learning how to enjoy things again.

Taking care of your body instead of neglecting yourself because you’re exhausted.

Creating little routines that remind you that you’re a person who deserves to be cared for, too.

That’s why Shy’s Beauty Stop’s theme for September is:
