Wandering through the wilderness at 33 with the Lord of lords and The King of kings. Thank you Jesus for one more year.

Joel 2:12-13

Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.

Return to Him, for He is faithful. Thankful to be a daughter of The One True King.

Psalm 116:1-9
 
I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
    he heard my cry for mercy. 

Because he turned his ear to me,
    I will call on him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me,
    the anguish of the grave came over me;
    I was overcome by distress and sorrow. 

Then I called on the name of the Lord:
    “Lord, save me!” 

The Lord is gracious and righteous;
    our God is full of compassion. 

The Lord protects the unwary;
    when I was brought low, he saved me. 

Return to your rest, my soul,
    for the Lord has been good to you. 

For you, Lord, have delivered me from death,
    my eyes from tears,
    my feet from stumbling, 

That I may walk before the Lord
    in the land of the living. 

Lord help us to walk in the land of the living. We love you King Jesus.

Ephesians 1:13-14

Our God is mighty to save. Thank you Jesus.

The Process of Transformation

Beholding the Lord: Spending time in God’s presence, often through prayer, reading His word, and worship, allows people to see and behold Him, leading to a change in their character.

Becoming More Like Him: The more one beholds and spends time with God, the more one becomes like Him in character and image.

Spiritual Maturity: It is a matter of spiritual maturity to continue in faith even when feelings of God’s presence aren’t strong, because His presence doesn’t depend on feelings but on His promised presence with His people.

Spiritual Hunger: To experience this transformation, a deep spiritual hunger and desire for God is necessary. If a person’s hunger is choked by worldly cares, they may walk away from encounters with God unchanged.
