Due to Family Health

First, I'd like to THANK YOU for supporting me and this little business of mine in 2023!

You may notice I have minimal availability over the next several weeks into the New Year. My son, Everett, has a congenital heart issue in his aortic valve that has recently progressed and will need intervention. He will be undergoing open heart surgery at Johns Hopkins early in the new year to correct the issue, as well as an aneurysm that has developed in his ascending aorta.

I will not be accepting appointments 12/21-01/15. Beginning the week of 1/15, I plan to resume taking appointments as Everett transitions back home for a lengthy recovery.

During this time, I must limit his exposure to pathogens as much as I can. I would appreciate your help with this. If, for any reason, you schedule and aren't feeling well, please let me know, and we can reschedule. I will wear a mask as he recovers; however, I don't need you to wear one.

Fall Edition

It's time to pull your gals together for another fun night at our Wine, Women, and Wellness - Back to Busy, Fall Edition on September 21, 2022 from 5:30-7pm. We are firm believers that a little self-care is good for the soul + when you pair it with some good wine, it’s time to let the good times begin!

In this edition, we will discuss some fun and engaging topics to help us enjoy beautiful fall weather, all while keeping healthy ways in mind. We are hosting some of our favorite self-care partners in the area- all of whom will showcase their specialized services!

​The awesome wellness professionals in attendance will include:

​Jenny Jacobs, our host for this evening, is a NCCAOM board-certified Acupuncturist who approaches health as a way to help people find their full expression of life. She treats a wide variety of health goals with an emphasis on sports performance, injury recovery, pain management, women's health, and chronic illness.

​Rachel Martin of Connection Wellness Center is a personal training studio that provides a high-quality fitness experience and helps clients attain a lifetime of wellness

​Dr. Chantay Bess of Ascension Chiropractic is a licensed chiropractor who works with practice members of all walks of life to provide natural, sustainable pain relief and preventative care. She specializes in prenatal care, postpartum care, and pediatric and family wellness. ​Dee Dee Eberle of Your Wild Pantry, a concierge meal solutions company. She helps busy people meal plan with real ingredients, providing healthy options that meet dietary needs, restrictions, allergies, and other needs.

​MK Yeargin of Scout & Cellar Wines educates clients about Clean-Crafted™ wine – better for you and better for the planet! She'll have us tasting a variety of Summer Sippers throughout the evening!

​Rorrie Sisk is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, Reiki Master, and owner at Great Lengths Bodywork & Esthetics in Falls Church, Virginia. No matter the service, Rorrie brings her unique skill set to create a treatment tailored to the needs of each individual.

We have some updates

Dear Great Lengths DC Community,

I wanted to keep you all updated on what we are doing to maintain the health and safety of all as best we can as we head toward the Fall season.

- We are continuing to spread out appointments whenever possible to reduce the number of people in the reception area at any given time.

- While in the common areas like reception or the hallway, we ask that you please wear your mask. We have disposable masks available if you forget one.

-You will notice that I have resumed wearing a mask through your service. If you have been vaccinated, you do not have to wear yours during your service; however, if you are more comfortable wearing one, you are welcome to do so.

-The treatment room is thoroughly cleaned between clients, as it always has been, and had sanitizer remains available throughout the reception and treatment room areas.

- If you are feeling under the weather, even if you think it's just a cold, please stay home and reschedule for when you're feeling better.
