I'm a Hormone & Sexual Health NP. Here are 5 habits that you can steal...

1. Morning sun light within 30 minutes of waking. This anchors your cortisol curve, lowering stress. Sounds basic, but it's life giving.

2. 30g of protein at breakfast. Yes, BEFORE my coffee! This stabilizes insulin & cortisol from the start.

3. Resistance training 3x/wk. Not running a marathon, LIFTING! Muscle is estrogen-protective tissue.

4. No screen shot 1 hour before bed. The blue light from screens suppresses melatonin. Sleep is when your hormones reset. Protect it with your life!

5. Bi-annual Hormone labs! Even when I feel fine. Especially when I feel fine!! You can't optimize what you don't measure.
