Our Hive family could use a little extra love right now. 💛

Our sweet Kayla recently had a fall and broke her ankle at 35 weeks pregnant. She needed surgery and will be off her feet for several weeks while she heals and prepares to welcome her baby.

If you know Kayla, you know how kind, thoughtful, and caring she is. She pours so much into her clients and the people around her every day, and right now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Because Kayla is self-employed, time away from the chair means unexpected lost income on top of already unpaid maternity leave. We’ve set up a meal train for anyone who would like to help support her while she recovers.

For Kayla’s wonderful clients: while she is on leave, our salon team will do our best to help accommodate where we can. We may not be able to take everyone, but we are happy to offer referrals to other incredibly talented stylists in our area if needed.

If you’d like to bring a meal, send delivery, or contribute toward groceries and household essentials during this time, it would mean so much to Kayla and her family.

Trustworthy, reliable, caring, passionate. All words I would describe my friend, Andy. Someone who would take their shirt off their back if you would need it. His love for his kids and hockey were all apart of his life. Back in November he had some life altering medical issues that ended him in the hospitals. His wife, Monique, and kids had spent the last month or so in Rochester at mayo hospital with Andy while they plan his treatment. Recently, they’ve decided to move Andy back home and to make him as comfortable as possible, as his latest results were not in our favor. Monique has been my friend since I was just a kid. I love her family as they are my own. It is truly devastating seeing someone so close to you go through something so awful and even worse knowing their kids have to experience this as well.

So, this is where I need your guys help. Wednesday, July 17th, is little Joes birthday, Andy’s son. I need to fully book myself and all money I recieve from haircuts + tips will be going to the Gire family. Andy has been in and out of different hospitals since the end of November so this money would really help with medical bills that are seemingly never ending. Anything and everything will help.
