As a hygienist for 27 years I have taught parents this is the best way to start safely and effectively training your kids to have healthy habits !!!! Once those teeth come in they can become infected and that also can affect the rest of the body!
It can also be very tough with a wiggly toddler, but this is the safest way to teach them habits and remember their dexterity isn’t good until age 8, so you still should be helping them brush until then!🦷🪥

It is National Dental Hygienist Week!! Dental hygienists clean teeth, but they also look for other health issues like oral cancer, diabetes, and lupus. Oral health is an indicator of whole-body wellness, so hygienists have a vital job indeed! 😁🦷🪥

Think about how we treat our mind and body each day- what we expect from it. If we eat bad, sleep bad, then don’t drink water and pop many pills for various ailments how do we expect to be at our best. The 4 pillars of health have been around for thousands of years, sometimes the more industrialized we are the more unhealthy we are…. we get away from the basics sleep ,nutrition ,exercise, hydration.

Seems to me that there is not a lot of understanding of how immunity/ or a vaccine works and as I am teaching biology this year I thought I’d share. You want a good immune response to have your body create antibodies to a virus. It is the BEST reaction!!! Drink a ton of water, have oranges and get some rest if you need but other that that 1-2 days of sore vs 14 days of illness or worse!!! 🥰
