“Why does my hair seem to grow back so fast after waxing?”🤔

I hear this all the time—especially from first-time or newer waxing clients. The truth is, your hair usually isn’t growing back faster. You’re just noticing different hairs.

Here’s why:

Your hair doesn’t all grow at the same time. Every hair follicle is on its own cycle—some hairs are actively growing, some are resting, and others are getting ready to shed.

When you get waxed, only the hairs that are in the active growth phase are removed. The hairs that were resting beneath the surface will appear a week or two later, making it seem like everything grew back overnight.

It didn’t—it was simply their turn to grow.

This is why staying on a consistent waxing schedule (about every 4–6 weeks) is so important. With regular waxing, more hairs begin growing on the same cycle, allowing us to remove them together. Over time, you’ll notice your hair grows back finer, softer, and often more slowly.

If you skip appointments or shave between waxes, those hair cycles become out of sync again, and it can feel like you’re starting all over.

Trust the process—consistency is what delivers the best long-term results.✨

The best appointments always have one thing in common…✨

When you’re consistent with moisturizing and exfoliating between appointments, your wax goes on smoother, comes off cleaner, and you’re much less likely to deal with ingrown hairs.

Your at-home routine really does make a difference.💛

✨Not all exfoliation is created equal.

When it comes to preventing ingrown hairs after waxing, choosing the right acid can make all the difference.💛

✨Glycolic Acid (AHA) helps remove dead skin cells and keeps the follicle clear, allowing new hairs to grow through more easily.

🫧Salicylic Acid (BHA) penetrates deep into the pores to dissolve oil and buildup, helping prevent trapped hairs and inflamed ingrowns.

🌿Lactic Acid provides gentle exfoliation while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier, making it a great option for sensitive areas like the bikini line.

The secret isn’t using more exfoliation—it’s using the right exfoliant at the right time. Once your skin has had time to recover after waxing, a consistent routine with the right acid can help keep your skin smoother, calmer, and far less prone to ingrown hairs.✨

✨The little things you do between appointments can make a huge difference in your results.

• Smoother skin
• Fewer ingrown hairs
• Less irritation
• More comfortable appointments

This is a side-by-side comparison of two clients who received the exact same Brazilian wax. The biggest difference? Their aftercare habits.

Swipe through to see how four weeks of small choices can completely change your waxing experience.➡️

If you’ve ever thought, “Waxing just isn’t for me,” your aftercare routine might be the missing piece.

🤍Remember, everyone’s skin is different, but consistent aftercare gives you the best chance for smoother skin, fewer ingrown hairs, and more comfortable appointments.

✨How often should you wax?✨

One of the most common questions I get is, “When should I book my next appointment?”🤍

The truth is, staying on a consistent waxing schedule makes all the difference! Regular waxing helps:
🌿Keep your hair growth cycle consistent
✨Reduce patchy regrowth
🤍Encourage finer, softer hair over time
🙌Leave your skin smoother for longer

Most areas are best maintained every 3–6 weeks, depending on the service and your individual hair growth. Swipe through this guide to find the recommended timeline for each area and learn why consistency matters!

💛Pro Tip: Avoid shaving between appointments. If you’ve been shaving, let your hair grow for 3–4 weeks (about ¼ inch—the size of a grain of rice) before your wax for the best results.

Ready to stay on schedule? Book your next appointment before you leave or book online anytime!🌼

Stay consistent now, thank yourself later.🤍

Rebooking your next appointment before you leave means less stress, better results, and no scrambling to find an opening when you need one. Your future self will thank you.✨

Not every bump is an ingrown hair. 👀

As an esthetician, I hear “I think I have an ingrown” all the time—but there are several skin conditions that can look very similar.

In this post, I’m breaking down the difference between:
• Histamine reactions
• Folliculitis
• Epidermoid cysts
• Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)

Remember: This post is for educational purposes only and is not a medical diagnosis. If you have persistent, painful, or recurring bumps, it’s always best to be evaluated by a healthcare provider.

Little me would never believe this.🤍

She had no idea she’d grow up to own a business, help people feel confident in their own skin, and create a career she truly loves.

Behind every appointment is so much more than what you see. It’s continuing my education, creating content, answering messages, planning, learning, and always looking for ways to give my clients the best experience possible.

But it’s also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

Thank you to every client who has trusted me, supported my dream, referred a friend, or simply kept coming back. Wildflower Wax Studio exists because of you, and I don’t take that for granted.

Here’s to the little girl who dreamed big… and to continuing to make her proud.🌼🤍

Whether it’s legs, underarms, or a Brazilian, hearing “That’s it, we’re done” is always the best feeling.😂

I think most of us spend more time anticipating the appointment than actually being uncomfortable during it. Whether it’s your first wax or your fiftieth, that little bit of anticipation never really goes away.

But the smooth skin, less maintenance, and confidence afterward? Always worth it.✨
