Back to school was in full swing last week. Here I got to hang out with the sassy sisters Harper and Brinley. It’s been long said that hair reflects personality. Well, I can confirm that is true and it starts young.

Harper knew exactly what she wanted. She is confident in her decisions and didn’t let her mom or I second guess in her decision making…and that shows through in her cut. She is “wearing” that classic, chic inverted bob. 💕 Brinley is spicy, playful, and about the business. While she is young and looks up to her sister, she too wanted to “rock a bob” but, hers must have waves to show off that playful personality 💜

I’ve known for close to 20 years in which I have had the opportunity to execute many fashionable cuts and colors… she too, knows what she wants and it is about the business. Can’t imagine where her daughters get it from 🤣 and I can’t wait to go on those roller coaster rides with her daughters as they grow up!

National Dog Day! Hanging with my boy Lester Bangs! Big morning…. We stopped by , had a pup cup at Starbucks, and Art in the park- Island Park. What are you doing with your fur babies today? I know I have squidgy face but, I was trying to get a pick of him looking, what’s a girl to do 🤷‍♀️🤣

As the season approaches, let’s talk about the difference between foiling/blonding, and what it will take to create the look you want.

Traditionally in beauty school we are taught a partial foil is the top crown and sides. A full foil goes all the way into the nape, and that makes sense when you think about it, but that’s not how today’s Pinterest worthy hair appointments work...

Let’s break it down

25% = Maintenance
50% = Makeover
75% = Transformation
95% = Color correction

Generally I am working in the 25% - 75% range most appointments.
