Juniper Farm
Offering fresh, seasonal bouquet subscriptions and vase arrangements for the Central Virginia area.

It was so fun being at the Farmville Flower & Garden Festival yesterday for the 2nd year! I'm already looking forward to next year and dreaming/planning the cut flowers I'll bring.💐💐

Mother's Day is coming up and the garden roses are blooming just in time. You can message me to preorder vase arrangements now or come see me tomorrow at the Farmville Flower & Garden Festival to place an order for Mother's Day flowers.

Garden roses are coming to the Farmville Flower & Garden Festival tomorrow from 10 am to 4 pm!

I will be at the Farmville Flower & Garden Festival on Saturday. I'll have vase arrangements, wrapped bouquets and bouquet subscription gift cards for Mother's Day shopping.

I am selling flowers this year! I'm offering 3 different bouquet subscriptions this year (check the photos for details) and may possibly add a dahlia subscription later on.
Bouquets will be filled with the freshest in-season blooms and wrapped in brown paper. They will be available for pick up on a designated day at our farm just 5 minutes outside of Farmville.
These would make great Mother's Day gifts or just a treat for yourself or a friend.

Mother's Day is this weekend! Do you have a gift yet for the mothers in your life?
I am not doing Mother's Day bouquets this year, however, I do have an option for you that makes a great gift! My flower subscriptions are now available to pre-order.
What is a flower subscription? You pay in advance for flowers that you (or the person you are gifting them to) will receive on the schedule of your choosing. This year's options are:
Bi-monthly (2 bouquets a month/every other week) -$40-
Weekly for 4 or 6 weeks -$80/$120
All subscriptions will start in June sometime. I will send out an email a week in advance to let you know when you'll be receiving your first bouquet. Bouquets come wrapped in brown kraft paper and filled with the best of what is currently in season.

Sunflowers are one flower that I haven't always loved. It's the bright orangey yellow ones that just didn't stand out to me. But when I was introduced to all the different amazing colors that sunflowers come in, that all changed. They're such a great, heat-loving flower to have in your garden and they're fun to watch grow on their long, strong stems.
Do you like sunflowers? What is your favorite color?

Putting together bouquets with flowers that I grew will never get old to me. It's such a special experience to walk out to the garden (or drive as the case is for me this year!) and pick out the best and prettiest blooms at their absolute freshest. It still blows my mind at all the beauty that is possible in a cut flower garden. Someday I hope to share this with ya'll by hosting on-farm workshops and garden parties, giving you a true field-to-vase experience.
Anyone else think an evening spent in a field of flowers sounds magical?🙋♀️

This creative work is such an outlet for me. Designing with flowers can be frustrating and challenging at times, especially when you are learning as you go, but it is such an invigorating work outside of my typical full time work as a mama, housekeeper, and homeschool teacher. Every time I get to make a bouquet and share all this flower beauty with someone else, I feel like doing a giddy dance. Although, at this stage of pregnancy it would look more like an elephant trying to tiptoe across a tight rope, but I digress. 😆
What fills you up outside of your "normal" work?

There is so much peace and rest to be found in the garden. Just being there, surrounded by the beauty, drinking it in and listening to the sounds of nature. Everything slows down when you are amongst the flowers.

I love love these sunflowers! I believe they are 'Starburst Lemon Aura' and they're just the perfect shade of yellow. I'm not a huge fan of the typical hot yellow/orange sunflower that most people think of when they think of this summer flower. Those certainly have their place, but give me all the unique pale yellows and rusty reds!
What about you? Do you like nontraditional colors of sunflowers or do you prefer the traditional ones?
