Yall. This is MASSSIVEEEEEE!!!! For YEARSSS Breauna Hickman and I entered the Behind the Chair One Shot Hair Awards! We never ever got a nomination once.
Eventually, we both stopped entering altogether because it honestly started to feel impossible to get noticed. Like maybe our work just doesn’t stick out enough to get noticed?!

This year, we decided to give it another shot.
And somehow… we BOTTTHHHH got nominated. 😭✨

Not only was I selected as a Top 100 Nominee for the 2026 One Shot Hair Awards, but my work wifey received TWO nominations! I truly couldn’t imagine celebrating this with anyone else.
This moment means SOOOO much more than an award. It’s a reminder that sometimes the dream you’ve quietly held onto for years is still worth chasing. Even after disappointment, self-doubt, and wondering if it will ever happen.

To every client who’s trusted me, supported me, shared my work, or sat in my chair… thank you. You are part of this. I’m so incredibly grateful, and no matter what happens from here, this is something I’ll never forget. It honestly just motivates me to keep trying to get nominated for the years to come!!!

Sometimes, “not yet” isn’t the same thing as “never.” 🖤✨
