Feels Right Massage

I am sad to announce that I am closing Feels Right Massage. My family is moving out of the city. It has been an honor to meet each and every one of my clients. Thank you.

This is my Chinese circadian clock. It's also my giant cheat sheet for acupressure. Each space represents an organ channel, which a lot of people refer to as meridians. Each organ has a time of day. For example the heart channel, is at noon (11-1). That's when you eat and you're around other people. Then comes the small intestine meridian, from 1 to 3:00, when you start digesting the food. Next is the bladder and kidney meridians, which are water element organ systems. A lot of people get tired around 3.

I love the overlaps in the Chinese system. The more I read and take classes, the more I marvel at how people who lived thousands of years ago could create such simple and effective ways to be healthy and live in balance with other people, nature, and within themselves.

I enjoy getting ready for clients. Heating the hot rocks, steaming the hot towels, making the bed, and turning on relaxing music--they give me time to reflect on the client and on my intentions for their session.
