May is Mental Health Awareness Month
May you ....

05/21/2026

Mental Health Awareness Month takes place every May and is the longest-running awareness campaign dedicated to mental health in the United States. Founded by Mental Health America (MHA) in 1949, the month-long observance encourages open conversation about mental illness, promotes access to treatment and support services, and works to dismantle the stigma that still prevents millions of people from seeking help. The 2026 theme is “More Good Days, Together.”

❤️🧡💛💙💜

Let’s come together as a community to support those who struggle with mental health and the loved ones walking alongside them. A little kindness, understanding, encouragement, and support can make a bigger difference than we realize. No one should have to feel alone in what they are going through. ❤️

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. ❤️

One of the most dangerous things about mental health struggles is how invisible they can be.

Some people smile while they’re drowning.
Some people show up for everyone else while quietly falling apart themselves.
Some people crack jokes, go to work, pay bills, raise kids, volunteer, rescue animals, and still go home carrying a weight nobody sees.

Depression is not laziness.
Anxiety is not “overreacting.”
Addiction is not a lack of willpower.
Trauma does not just “go away.”

And healing is rarely linear. It’s messy. It’s exhausting. It’s brave.

For me, one of the biggest lessons in recovery and life has been realizing how many people are silently fighting battles they never talk about. That realization changed how I see people. It made me softer. More patient. More understanding.

So if you’re struggling right now, please know this:

You are not weak.
You are not broken.
And you do not have to carry it alone.

Check on your strong friends.
Check on the people who suddenly got quiet.
Check on the ones who always say “I’m fine.”

Sometimes a simple message, a phone call, or a reminder that someone matters can pull them back from a very dark place.

And if nobody has told you lately… I’m glad you’re here. ❤️

If you ever need someone to talk to, my inbox is always open.

Trauma, or the body’s response to a traumatic event or events, is expressed through the body and in your life and relationships. It can manifest as chronic pain, autoimmune disease, anxiety, depression, dissociation, and more.
Massage therapy, with a skilled therapist, is an essential part of healing and post traumatic growth; helping you reconnect with your body, fostering emotional regulation and balance.
