Nurses are the backbone of healthcare. Without us, the system wouldn't function.

Loyalty used to be rewarded. Now, too often it's used as a reason to underpay dedicated staff while dressing up "rewards" as clinical ladder programs, extra credentials, or recognition titles instead of meaningful compensation.

Too many nurses are expected to do more with less—working short-staffed, facing abuse from patients and coworkers, and carrying the weight of a broken system while executives continue to profit.

Being passionate about patient care shouldn't require accepting being undervalued. Nurses deserve respect, safe working conditions, and pay that reflects the essential role they play every single day.

I used to think my husband saved me from my traumatic home that wrecked havoc on my heart and soul. My father was an abusive alcoholic to my mother. My mother was bipolar and verbally abusive to me, even when I cut her out of my life. Now, I understand their hurt (hurt people hurt people) and realize that they did the best they knew how, as they also did not have great examples of parental guidance.
Throughout many deployments and hard choices I had to make alone as parent, I realized it was only ever GOD who gave me peace and grace.

HE met me in the valley
HE lifted me up
HE moves mountains
HE turns broken into beautiful
HE sets captives free
HE is the light in the darkness
HE is the father for the fatherless
HE is the brother for the brotherless
HE is merciful
HE is graceful
HE sent his only son to die for our sins
HE makes beauty from ashes
HE is the breaker of chains

Lord, I break the chains of earthly desires & the chains of my generational curses. Lord, let your will be done. Lord, let me be your servant, even though I know that I will never be worthy.
I am whole and I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

I am your servant and I surrender to you. ✝️
