“Dee did the makeup for my destination wedding in Amelia Island, and I truly can’t recommend her enough! From the very first interaction, she was professional, kind, organized, and incredibly helpful. She even provided a pre-wedding guide with tips and suggestions that made the whole process feel easy and stress-free and suggested a timeline for the day that worked perfectly!

Since I wasn’t able to do a trial beforehand, I had to trust that the inspiration photos I sent would be enough, and she absolutely delivered. None of us in the wedding party, including me, normally wear much makeup and we had a range of ages, from early 20’s to mid 70’s, so it was really important that everyone still felt comfortable and like themselves. Dee listened to what each person wanted, made thoughtful suggestions, and created looks that felt natural, beautiful, and elevated without being overdone.

Everyone was so happy with how they looked and felt, and my husband, who prefers a more natural look, loved my makeup too! It also held up amazingly well through the Florida humidity and still looked great the next day, including the eyelashes. Honestly, it probably would have lasted another full day if I hadn’t needed sunscreen.

Beyond her talent, Dee was just such a sweet, calming, professional presence to have with us that day. She felt more like a friend than a vendor, and that made such a difference on such an important day. Well, apparently my shoes got the memo. 💚

The green florals, the green shoes… completely unplanned on my part. I’d love to say it was intentional, but I’m going to give the credit to happy coincidence. 😂

I recently had the opportunity to have a few professional photos taken at the brand new The Tidemark Collective Studio and I’m so happy to have this beautiful creative space right here on Amelia Island and just one minute from my studio!
There’s something I’ve always loved about having professional photos taken as a makeup artist. You get to see yourself through someone else’s lens for a moment. And it’s a good reminder of why I do what I do! Makeup isn’t about changing the person in the chair. It’s about paying attention. Your skin. Your features. The way you normally wear your makeup. What makes you feel beautiful. And sometimes, even the little things you don’t know how to put into words.
That’s the part of makeup I love most. Creating something that feels beautifully, unmistakably you.
