Subtl. Skin + Brows is officially open ONE WEEK from today!

One year ago, I made the incredibly difficult decision to close my business, Esthetics by Jenn.

It was one of the hardest choices I’ve ever made because this industry is truly my passion. Helping people feel confident in their skin, building relationships with my clients, and doing work that I genuinely love has always been such a huge part of who I am for the last 9 years.

What I didn’t know then was how much I needed that time away.

This past year gave me the chance to reset, reflect, and rediscover what I wanted for myself and my career. There were so many moments when I felt completely lost, wondering what was next and waiting for the right opportunity to come along. Lots of tears shed, lots of anxious moments filled with so much self doubt around my career path.

And now, almost exactly a year later, that opportunity has found me.

I am so excited to officially introduce Subtl. Skin + Brows.

Getting the chance to start again feels equal parts emotional, exciting, and surreal. I feel more motivated, inspired, and ready than ever before, and I cannot wait to get back to doing what I love most.

To my loyal clients who have followed me through every chapter of this journey, thank you. Your support, encouragement, and patience have meant more than you’ll ever know. I am so grateful for each and every one of you, and I can’t wait to love on your skin and brows again.

And to all of my future clients, welcome! I am so excited to meet you, be part of your skincare journey, and help you feel confident in your own skin.

This is a fresh start, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

My sweet Jonas,

Being your mama is the greatest gift in the world.
Not because it has been easy,
or because it looks the way I once imagined,
but because loving you has changed me in ways nothing else ever could.

Sometimes Mother’s Day feels heavier than I expected.
Not because I love being your mom any less,
but because somewhere along the way
I built a different picture in my mind
of what this would look like.

I mourn her sometimes—
the version of me,
the version of motherhood,
the life I thought would unfold so naturally.

There are moments where the ache of what could have been sits quietly beside the beauty of what is.
And I am still learning how to hold both.

And still, here you are.
The truest thing I’ve ever known.
A love so deep it rearranged me completely.

Your laugh,
the way you run to me at school pickup,
the way you made me someone new the moment you existed.

So I hold both at once:
gratitude and grief,
joy and longing,
the beauty of what is
and the ache of what could have been.

And even in all of that,
I would still choose this.
I would still choose you.

You are my everything.
Always and forever my sweet little guy!
