Therapeutic Hands now offers Corrective Exercise!

With this new expansion, massage therapy will still mobilize and relax the tight muscles while corrective exercise can strengthen the weaker ones to achieve a neutral joint balance and offer longer lasting results for our clients.

What is Corrective Exercise? Good question, I have been answering this a lot recently. It's somewhere between physical therapy and personal training where the main goals are to find imbalances present in the body, develop an exercise routine to counterbalance them and educate the client toward independence.

We will start with a full body Functional Mobility Assessment which will look at standing posture, walking gait, and movement patterns. During the session we will discuss your areas of concern and I will develop a 4-stage corrective exercise plan which we will go over together at the follow up session. You will also be sent a report of the assessment which will be emailed to you for your review and act as a baseline to compare later.

If you are ready to dive in and start your wellness journey look no further than the Corrective Exercise Wellness Package which includes the functional mobility assessment, 2 corrective exercise sessions and the 4-stage corrective plan. This will save you $30 in total!

Therapeutic Hands started 2.5 years ago and to know how many clients have been referred or found us on Google to help them with their area of concern is truly awesome!

I will never take for granted my amazing clientele for the level of support they have given by either getting the business started or helping it expand.

Moving forward I will send an email at the beginning of december to open the calendar for the next 3 months (Jan-Mar). This will allow my regulars the option to book out to secure the spot first.

Do I need to cancel my massage if I have a sunburn?

Maybe, depends on how severe it is, where it's located and how long it's been there.

If the skin is too tender to touch or is covering the majority of your body.

What are we not doing?
- adding heat to the area so no hot towels, table warmer and even friction style techniques

How can we modify -
We can go around small areas, just skip arms/legs or also add a cool towel for extra relief. If you're currently peeling, it's okay. The best thing for the skin is to keep it hydrated so lotion is great at home and in session.

Due to our change of location mid-summer, we are opening the books in segments. We feel it's important to know where you're going for the appointment when you schedule!

Additionally, Therapeutic Hands's client base has grown so it may be best to start booking out a month or two in advance in order to find your preferred time slot.
