The Friday Fry - Mobile Sauna

A little bit of where it all started. 🔥

Long before The Friday Fry, there was this sauna in the woods on Madeline Island, a part of Nate’s childhood. It’s a piece of why we wanted to build something of our own: a place to warm up, slow down, and spend time with your people.

Things have been a little quiet over here lately, but for a good reason. We’ve been finalizing the details of the trailer build, and construction is expected to start this month (!!).

So consider this the calm before the fry. More soon. 🐟

Things are getting serious over here. 🔥

The Friday Fry officially has a tow vehicle.

Turns out starting a mobile sauna company also means accidentally becoming truck people.

One step closer to bringing the heat around Madison!

Another stop on our Finnish sauna education 🇫🇮

Saunakylä is an entire village of traditional smoke saunas. They don't have chimneys, instead the stove burns for hours, filling the room with smoke, which is then vented out before anyone goes in. They take basically all day to heat properly, but the experience is unlike any sauna we've tried so far.

Definitely one we're glad we got to experience.

It's been less than a week since we got back from Finland, and we're definitely missing the variety. A sauna with a bar, a rooftop view, a 100-year-old public sauna, a cabin in the woods and everything in between.

Heading to Finland later this week for sauna research (results may include relaxing). Final prep is underway. If you've been and have a must-hit spot, send it our way.
