Very, very thankful for the lessons learned and risks taken this year. Sometimes growth happens the hard way, and sometimes it’s so easy it doesn’t feel deserved. Cheers to a year of great meals with the best friends we could ask for, starting a business and growing deeper in love, sharing lots of tears and laughs, raising kittens and saying teary-eyed goodbyes to things that just don’t serve us anymore, and giving warm welcome hugs to new habits, people and choices that do. . . . . . . . .“And we’ll hate what we’ve lost but we’ll love what we find. And I’m feeling fine..we’ve made it to the coastline” 💫💓

Experienced my first ionic detox foot bath today. That 💩 came out of MY FEET! The first slide is the before with an herbal blend to help draw toxins from the body. These baths get mixed reviews from critics as far as efficacy but all I can say is that in one hour my body feels lighter, rejuvenated, and energized, and mentally calmed knowing that the nasties in that water are no longer in my body! Me in my happiest place, getting acupuncture. My monthly acupuncture appointment with the amazing Sarica Cernohous is non-negotiable. She treats me with needles, but also layers light therapy and scenar into my appointments. She helped me heal from a wrist injury earlier this year, treats my digestion, and helps my chronic neck pain tremendously. I love massage (obviously) but monthly acupuncture has been a game changer. Just an appreciation post for all the additional therapies out there, and for the amazing practitioners in my life!!

My sweet friend Avari spends her days silversmithing (I know 🤯) making gorgeous jewelry for the baddest women in the southwest 💃🏻 and treats herself to regular massage to keep up with her intensive workload and the chronic low back pain it creates. Enter “cupping yoga”! Just made that up.. With cups applied, I walked her through child’s pose and cat/cow yoga poses to deeply stretch the fascia through the entire back, especially the lumbar. CUPPING + STRETCHING = MAGIC

If you caught The Nutcracker at Ardrey this weekend, you had the privilege of hearing my dear friend Emma, first chair cellist in the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, perform. Today, she treated herself to a well deserved recovery massage. We addressed tension through the entire upper body, from head to hands & through the entire back. Few people I know push themselves as hard as Emma AND take their recovery as seriously. Friendly reminder to lean into your self care in your busiest seasons of life!
