Welcome to Big Daddy's Barber Shop – a Flint institution for over 50 years! 🚀 Formerly known as Boyd's Magic Clippers and Beauty Shop, we've been a staple in the community since the 1950s. John's neighborhood and has evolved into one of the longest-running businesses in town.
🔍 Explore our rich history that began at Chapman's Barber Shop, where Dave Veasley's talent caught the attention of John Boyd. Together, they built a legacy, eventually taking over Chapman's and rebranding it as Big Daddy's. Despite challenges like building condemnations and relocations, we've stood the test of time.
💈 Meet our dedicated team, led by Maurice Dantzler, who took the reins after John Boyd's passing in 2010. Maurice has been instrumental in enhancing the comfort and experience for our loyal customers, leading us to relocate for their benefit.
🏡 Discover our journey from Lomita Ave to Selby St., and finally settling on the Southside of town. The transition wasn't without its challenges, but it led to the birth of Big Daddy's, a name that initially raised some eyebrows but has become synonymous with our friendly atmosphere and top-notch services.
