Hello beautiful people. It's clearly been a while since I've posted on this page.
I just wanted to throw out a reminder/ warning... I leave for Alaska on May 27th- June 7th. If you have an appointment scheduled before I leave or even right after I return, please do your best to keep that appointment, for I will not have any other time to move your appointment until the end of June. And if you need an appointment, I would be happy to get you booked after Father's day. Love you all!

To say today has been long and stressful is an understatement....
At 1:30am I got a call from the rehab center where mom has been for almost 4 weeks saying that she was bleeding and in lots of pain. A CT showed that she had a perforated bowel and that she would need surgery in a matter of hours or she wouldn't survive but 3 or 4 days. Being the fighter she is, she chose surgery knowing she would come out with a ostomy bag as well. She did well during the 3hr surgery but the Dr had to do more than he thought. He found, not 1, but 3 perforated places. He had to remove the whole left side of her colon. He found a small hernia that he fixed up from the inside. She had mesh from a previous hernia surgery that he had to remove to place the ostomy. She has 2 drain tubes. 1 on the left to drain any issues that might come from the pancreas, that he may or may not have damaged (a risk we knew beforehand). Then 1 on the right lower abdomen to drain anything else that might need out there 🤢 she has a 8-10in incision down the center of her belly. He does expect this to take a while to recover from. Again, this was to buy more than the 3 or 4 days she would have had without surgery not to really prolong the initial prognosis. He did not see any cancer in the areas he worked on but has no idea how she ended up with 3 spots. She is in a lot of pain as of right now (9:18pm). This women has proven that she is a fighter and not going down easy. Thank you again for all the prayers and to all who have reached out personally and/or sent cards. So much love to you all 💗

Hello friends...Just coming to you with an update. I'm sorry it's been so long. It's been a crazy few weeks.
Currently, mom was taken to rehab yesterday. She's at Emerald Trace on turkeyfoot. She has been through A LOT since I last posted. A round of chemo, that about killed her, but didn't! A fight with her potassium. It took them until just last week to get that under control. Infections in her blood and urine. So lots of antibiotics. Fluid building in her lungs that they've taken off 3 times so far and will have to do again. That will, unfortunately, continue since it's the cancer causing it. Multiple sores in places sores shouldn't be 🥴 Having to have a wound care team to take care of them. She has lost all her strength to stand and walk. Hopefully being in rehab will help with that since they do physical therapy multiple times a day.
Keep the prayers coming. She still plans on doing another round of chemo if she can get strong enough. She's definitely a fighter!! I can't express enough how thankful I am for each and every one of you and your complete understanding through all the reschedules and cancelations. It breaks my heart every time I have to send out messages. I love you all. Thank you 🥰🤗

Hi, there, beautiful friends. I come to you with sad news, but this is definitely the easiest way to contact everyone at one time. My mom's cancer has returned and this time worse than before. She has chosen to try treatment. They say with treatment they are giving her 12 to 18 months. Now, of course, we know God is in control and he has his own plan. She has overcome so much already. I can't begin to speculate how all this will go, but I wanted to let you know so that if I am canceling or rescheduling last minute or more often that that is why and I apologize now for any inconveniences.
I can't thank you all enough for your support the last time she went through this and I have no doubt that I will get your support this time as well. So many of you know my mom personally and if you don't, you certainly know enough just through me rambling on and on lol We certainly believe in the power of prayer and if you do too then we would certainly appreciate all prayers that you could send her way. In that meantime , I look forward to seeing each and every one of you as much as I possibly can.

Now for the unfortunate news. As much as I don't want to, I will be increasing my prices starting February 1st😒 As we ALL have seen in every area of our lives, the price increase on basic salon supplies has gotten crazy high. I've tried to hold off but unfortunately can not any longer. And not trying to add insult to injury but the new State Law says that I HAVE to start adding sales tax🙄 That's definitely not a decision I would make if I weren't being forced. I'll post the prices changes inside the salon so that you can see them throughout this month.

I'm sorry I haven't updated much about my mom. It's been a lot since my last post. That 2nd round of chemo really hit her hard. She's been in the hospital for 2 weeks and they're still keeping her through next Monday. It's been a roller coaster ride we weren't quite ready for. She's asked me to reach out to prayer warriors. I know many of you are❤️ If you could add her or continue prayers for her, we would both be forever grateful. We know God has her in his hands. There's no doubt about that but keeping her going day after day. Giving her the courage and strength each day.. that's getting harder to find as each day comes and goes.
To those of you that I've had to juggle, thank you for your understanding. I love you all!🤗❤️🤗❤️

An update on momma for those that have been asking. Thank you for all the continued prayers! ....Today was day 1 of round 2 of chemo. She's doing fairly well. She missed getting her port put in last week due to catching covid🙄 That was a small set back but They say her tumor has already shrunk!!! We're super excited to hear that!!!! There have definitely been some good days and some bad. One of the hardest was this past Saturday when we had to shave her head. Turns out chemo worked a bit faster on her than we were expecting. But now she gets to sport her cute little hats that I found her😍 she's tired but still "kicking cancers ass one day at a time"! Keep the prayers coming!! She can feel each and every one❤❤
