Formaldehyde in hair relaxers has been linked to nasal cancer and myeloid leukemia. The exposure is due to inhalation of the product. I don’t use relaxer with formaldehyde and my hair color product is paraben-free, sulfate-free, ammonia-free, and often PPD-free. A lot of products that have formaldehyde are the Brazilian Keratin straighteners. Also, some lye relaxer purchased off the shelves. Do a google search.
