Hey Fern Family!

Happy Pride Month and happy summer! We hope you're soaking up the sunshine and making the most of the season. Here's what's happening at Little Fern over the next few months.

At Little Fern

Ferniversaries and Happy News
Lexi and Maggie will be celebrating one year at Little Fern this August! We're so grateful to have them as part of our salon family.

We also have some exciting news to share:
* Maggie has been accepted to a four-year university, where she'll continue her college education this fall. We're so proud of her and excited to cheer her on in this next chapter.
* Alysia is continuing her journey toward becoming a certified Pilates instructor. She's making great progress, and who knows, maybe a Little Fern Pilates class is in our future!
* Nora's daughter, Willow, will be starting kindergarten in August. We can't believe how quickly time flies, and we're so excited for her as she begins this new adventure.

Most of all, we're happy to be spending another summer with all of you. Thank you for continuing to support our salon family and small business. We can't wait to see you in the salon this season!

Summer Appointments
Summer is one of our busiest seasons! Be sure to schedule your appointments in advance. If you don't see a time that works for you, join the waitlist. You never know when something might open up!

Summer Vacation Dates
Alysia will be out July 3–7
Nora will be out July 2–7
Lexi will be out July 14–17

Schedule Changes
Nora's schedule will be changing beginning in August. She will be available:
* Tuesdays: 9 AM–2 PM
* Thursdays: 9 AM–2 PM
* Fridays: 10 AM–2 PM *starting in September*

Her Wednesday hours will remain the same.

Travel Kits
Traveling this summer? Take us with you!

Our product sachets provide 2–3 uses and can be mixed and matched for $1.75 each, or grab a shampoo and conditioner bundle for $3.50.

Want the full experience? Upgrade to our travel kit for $100, which includes five TSA-friendly travel-size products of your choice plus a toiletry bag.

Father's Day Treat

Treat Dad to a little self-care this Father's Day with a Little Fern gift card!

*Physical gift cards are also available for purchase at the salon.*

Little Free Library
We are so happy to see our Little Free Library being so loved! Because it gets emptied quickly, book donations are always appreciated.

We also stock our shelves with clothing and non-perishable items for the community. If you have anything you'd like to donate, we'd be grateful.

Price Updates
A few services will receive a slight price increase beginning in July. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to speak with your stylist.

Summer in Flossmoor is in full swing!

Traffic Update
The Dixie Highway North viaduct will be closed for the foreseeable future. Alternative routes are being shared on Village of Homewood social media pages. If this affects your commute to the salon, please allow a little extra travel time.

Dixie Highway North Viaduct Closure Begins Monday, June 8, 2026:

The Dixie Highway North Viaduct will be closed for reconstruction beginning June 8. Motorists should follow posted detour routes and allow for extra travel time.

Southbound Dixie Highway Detour:
➡️ Dixie Highway
➡️ 175th Street
➡️ Governors Highway
➡️ 183rd Street
➡️ Return to Dixie Highway

Northbound Dixie Highway Detour:
➡️ Dixie Highway
➡️ Ridge Road
➡️ Ashland Avenue
➡️ 175th Street
➡️ Halsted Street
➡️ 171st Street
➡️ Return to Dixie Highway

Local traffic will continue to have access near the closure area. Please watch for construction crews, follow all posted signage, and please plan ahead for delays. Everyone will be trying to get somewhere, let’s all get there safely. And without speeding. Thank you!
