November 1, 2021 was our very first day open with clients.

When I signed the papers and bought this building, I had big dreams and even bigger ideas. I was running full speed toward them, hoping I could create a peaceful place where people loved to work, guests felt cared for, and beautiful things could happen every day.

What I never could have imagined was what it would become.

As we get closer to celebrating our 5-year anniversary, I find myself looking through these before-and-after photos in awe. So much has changed. Walls have moved. Rooms have transformed. New ideas have come to life. What was once our lobby has become the salon's "living room"—complete with comfy chairs, a coffee corner, and a place to slow down for a moment. Our space is now filled with plants, warmth, and intentional details designed to help our guests feel grounded, relaxed, and at home. And according to many of you, that's exactly how it feels.

What was once a garage became our nail suite and is now Ember Cove Boutique, filled with affordable clothing in sizes XS–3XL, gifts, and self-care items, carefully chosen for women in every season of life.

But the biggest transformation isn't the building.

It's the people.

Somewhere along the way, this salon stopped being just a workplace and became a family, and our home we get to work in every day.

Jen brings a calmness to every room she enters. She's the emotional support system for all of us and always knows exactly what someone needs to hear.

Jailyn captures the most beautiful photos that you always see, but more importantly, she's the person who shows up for her people every single time without hesitation. Her loyalty and heart are unmatched.

Katie is the perfect addition to our tribe. She's the kind of person who makes everyone feel understood without judgment. We often joke that she absolutely would've sat at our lunch table in high school—and it's true.

And of course, our four-legged team members are part of the family too. Mowgli, my Aussiedor, Jailyns mini Auisse, Roo, and Conway, Katies Basset Hound, can usually be found supervising salon operations, while Auntie Jen happily spoils them all day long and during sleepovers.

Looking around today, I realize the dream was never really about the building.

It was about creating a place where people felt comfortable being themselves. A place where guests feel welcomed the moment they walk through the door. A place where coworkers become family. A place where everyone has a seat at the table.

To every guest who has trusted us over the last five years—thank you. Your support has allowed us to build something bigger than I ever imagined possible.

At SisCo Salon & Boutique, we believe that education is just as important as the treatment itself. We want every guest to feel confident, informed, and set up for the best possible results before starting their hair restoration journey.

While we've seen incredible success with our hair restoration program, it's important to understand that not every type of hair loss responds the same way. Being a good candidate doesn't mean you've failed if you're not—it simply means we're committed to helping you find the right solution for your unique situation.

A few things we want you to know:

✨ The earlier you start, the better.
If you're noticing thinning, decreased volume, or more scalp visibility than usual, don't wait. Hair follicles become more difficult to reactivate the longer they remain dormant, so early intervention gives us the greatest opportunity for success.

✨ Not all hair loss is the same.
Hair restoration treatments are generally less effective for scarring forms of alopecia because the hair follicle has been replaced by scar tissue. If we suspect that's what you're experiencing, we'll help guide you toward the appropriate next steps.

✨ If you think you may have alopecia areata, seek professional guidance quickly.
We've seen some success when treatment begins in the earliest stages, but timing matters. We always recommend working with a hair restoration professional and your healthcare provider to create the best plan for your needs.

✨ Consistency is everything.
The best results come from following the treatment plan exactly as recommended. That means committing to your applications twice per week and staying consistent for at least six weeks. Hair restoration is a process, not a quick fix.

✨ Trust the process.
One of the hardest parts of any hair restoration journey is the waiting. Some guests experience increased shedding during the first several weeks, and while that can feel discouraging, it's often a normal part of the process. As older resting hairs shed, they make room for new growth. Most clients begin noticing positive changes between weeks 6 and 12.

Most importantly, know that we're here to support you every step of the way. If you're unsure whether you're a good candidate, have questions about your hair loss, or simply want honest guidance, reach out. We'd rather have a conversation and create the right plan for you than promise something unrealistic.
