After 12 years of building Eyebrow Art Studio as a one-woman business, I’m finally ready to start growing my team! 🤍

I’ve been incredibly blessed with a loyal clientele and continued demand for my services, and I’m looking for the right licensed esthetician who is interested in growing alongside me and helping me accommodate more clients while maintaining the quality and experience Eyebrow Art Studio is known for.

This isn’t just about filling a position. I’m looking for someone I can trust, teach, mentor, and eventually feel completely confident referring my clients to.

WHO I’M LOOKING FOR ✨

• Currently licensed to perform esthetic services in Alabama
• Reliable, punctual & professional
• Friendly, personable & comfortable with clients
• Detail-oriented and passionate about quality work
• Knowledgeable about sanitation and professional standards
• Willing to learn my techniques, standards & studio protocols
• Motivated to build and maintain a clientele
• Someone who genuinely loves the beauty industry and wants to grow

Experience with brow shaping, waxing, threading, tinting, brow lamination, lash lifts and other esthetic services is a huge plus. Additional training can be provided for the right person.

💰 COMPENSATION & GROWTH

This position will begin on a commission-based structure while we build your schedule and transition clients to you.

My goal is for this to develop into a more established position with hourly pay + tips as the role, schedule and clientele grow.

I want someone who sees the potential in growing with an established studio—not simply someone looking for a temporary position. There is already demand; now I need the right person to help me meet it. 🤍

Every licensed esthetician has invested thousands of dollars, hundreds of hours into education and hands-on training, passed state licensing requirements, maintains continuing education, follows strict sanitation and safety standards, carries professional insurance, and works hard to provide safe, ethical, professional services.

Yet our profession is still too often misunderstood, undervalued, or treated as something that anyone can do after taking a quick certification course.

Esthetics is a licensed profession. It’s skin health. Proper sanitation. Infection prevention. Hair removal. Product knowledge. Understanding contraindications. Client safety. Professional responsibility.

🚨 PUBLIC AWARENESS: KNOW WHO IS LEGALLY LICENSED TO PERFORM YOUR BEAUTY SERVICES 🚨

As a licensed esthetician with over 11 years of experience, I believe it’s important to educate the public about Alabama’s licensing laws and help consumers make informed decisions.

In the State of Alabama, eyelash extensions themselves do not currently require a cosmetology or esthetics license. However, many other beauty services absolutely do.

Services that generally require a state-issued professional license include:
• Eyebrow Threading
• Eyebrow Waxing
• Tweezing as a cosmetic service
• Brow & Lash Lamination
• Facial and body hair removal
• Most skin product applications performed as cosmetic treatments
• Permanent Makeup (PMU)
• Microblading
• Cosmetic Tattooing

These services require the appropriate state-issued professional license, such as an Esthetician, Cosmetologist, or Tattoo Artist license, depending on the service and the governing regulations. In addition, salons that provide regulated services must also hold the appropriate Alabama State Board establishment/salon license where required.

Unfortunately, I’ve noticed an increasing number of businesses advertising eyebrow and skin services simply because they are allowed to perform eyelash extensions. Many advertise themselves as “Eyebrow Technicians” or “Certified Brow Artists.”

A certificate is not the same thing as a state-issued professional license.

Anyone can take a weekend certification course and receive a certificate. That does not automatically grant legal authority to perform regulated beauty services in Alabama.

As consumers, you have the right to ask:
✔️ Are you licensed by the State of Alabama?
✔️ What type of professional license do you hold?
✔️ Is your license current and displayed?
✔️ Is the establishment properly licensed if required?

Don’t be afraid to ask to see a state-issued license, not just a certificate hanging on the wall.

This isn’t about tearing down other businesses—it’s about protecting the public, maintaining professional standards, and respecting the education, training, sanitation requirements, and state regulations that licensed professionals are required to meet.

Please do your research before trusting anyone with your face, skin, or permanent cosmetic procedures. Your health and safety should always come first.
