After everyday seeing posts of women asking for hair on a “budget”. First, Everyone’s budgets are completely different for their situation but going to a salon for hair color is a LUXURY service. Especially when your requests are to make your hair look like a model from Vogue Magazine but you expect to pay $100.
Second, Just remember while the whole world continues to see prices increase for milk, gas, rent…. Unfortunately product cost for ALL businesses continue to increase as well.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHEN YOU SUPPORT A SMALL BUSINESS WE ARE SMALL BUSINESS FOR A REASON! WE DO NOT MAKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS .This is not cheap!! But we LOVE what we do! And we do all of this just so you feel beautiful everyday.

On behalf of every stylist, let me show you were every dollar goes.

Ex: $225 service
Product cost per guest: $40+
Booth rent : $45 per day
Tools and equipment: $15
Insurance and licensing: $10+

Total expense: $110+

What is kept: less then $115

Out of the $115 we still have to pay self employment tax, health insurance, and our own retirement. And 30% has to be held for annual taxes state and federal.

We aren’t getting rich, we are running a business.

This doesn’t even include continued education.

We aren’t trying to rip you off.

We are trying to make a living.
