According to the 2011 AMTA consumer survey, an average of 18 percent of adult Americans received at least one massage between July 2010 and July 2011, and an average of 31 percent of adult Americans received a massage in the previous five years.

A small study in the Feb. 1, 2012, issue of Science Translational Medicine concluded that massage reduced inflammation caused by muscle damage from exercise. Another, in the journal of PLoS One, found that an hour of Swedish massage once weekly reduced knee pain in people with osteoarthritis. For chronic lower-back pain, patients getting a weekly massage of about an hour reported statistically significant improvement in pain relief and function, a third study found. Past research has found it can help relieve anxiety, mild depression and stress!

I offer 60 minute and 90 minute massages. I'll travel to you!! Get a massage, roll off the table & into bed! :)

My specialties are both Swedish (relaxation) or deep tissue however I do have training in other modalities if requested. Depending on your location (within 15 miles of myself in Citrus Heights) a 60 minute massage starts at $65. A 90 minute massage starts at $85.
