Jersey Shore Barbershop

🚨 WE’RE TAKING OVER NEW JERSEY, ONE SENSORY SAFE HAIRCUT AT A TIME! 💙✂️

We are beyond proud to celebrate our very own Nicole, a talented barber, barber educator, and now officially a Certified Sensory Safe Educator! 🎉

Nicole’s dedication to education, compassion, and inclusivity is helping pave the way toward a more understanding, accommodating, and safer New Jersey for individuals with autism, sensory processing disorder, and other sensory needs.

At Jersey Shore Barbershop, we are MORE than just these four walls. We believe our impact should extend far beyond the barber chair. We are committed to breaking barriers, building trust, and creating an environment where EVERY individual feels seen, heard, respected, and welcomed.

Nicole embodies that mission wholeheartedly. Her versatility, patience, understanding, and willingness to meet individuals where they are make her an incredible asset to our team and the community we serve. She approaches every individual with open arms, recognizing that no two people have the same needs or experiences. 💙

This is bigger than haircuts. This is about creating trust, not trauma.

Please join us in congratulating Nicole on this incredible achievement! We cannot wait to see the difference she continues to make throughout New Jersey.

Different needs. Same respect. Everyone deserves a safe space in the chair 🫶

✂️💈SEE YOU AT THE SHOP! 💈✂️

WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR BOSS! 💛💈

For those who may not know, what started as a mom wanting to better understand and accommodate the needs of her nonverbal autistic son led Ashley to The Sensory Safe Solution and a mission she knew she wanted to help carry forward.

Our owner Ashley is officially New Jersey’s FIRST Certified Sensory Safe Educator!

THIS IS BIGGER THAN OUR BARBERSHOP.

Now she gets to take that education beyond our four walls by educating other beauty professionals and helping more barbershops and salons become Sensory Safe for individuals with ASD and SPD.

We couldn’t be prouder to watch her turn something so personal to her family into a way to help carry this incredible mission throughout New Jersey. This is the first step toward creating more educated professionals, more understanding environments, and more places where individuals and families can be understood and supported during the haircut experience.

The impact starts here but it doesn’t stop here ✔️💛

Creating Trust, Not Trauma.
