To Our Raro Family,
Over the past 19 years, many of you have become so much more than clients to us. You've watched our children grow up, and we've had the privilege of watching many of you grow and build families of your own. For that, we will always be grateful.
We know many of you were surprised and upset by our sudden closure, and we completely understand why. We wanted to share what happened.
As some of you know, we have been in the process of selling the salon and fully expected the sale to move forward. Throughout the process, we worked with legal professionals and believed everything was progressing appropriately based on the information available to us.
Unfortunately, during the final stages of the sale, an unexpected issue was identified that must be resolved before the transaction can move forward. Had we known earlier that this obstacle was there, we would have begun addressing it immediately. Instead, it was discovered when we believed we were nearing a successful closing.
We also want to be very clear: the decision to close was not made days or weeks before the sign was posted. The decision was made that very morning after speaking with our attorneys and reviewing the salon's financial position. Based on the circumstances, we were advised that we could no longer continue operating while this issue is being resolved.
We did not continue selling packages while knowing we would be closing. At the time packages were sold, we fully believed the salon would remain open and that the sale would proceed as expected.
One of the most heartbreaking parts of this situation is that we were not financially able to continue operating long enough for everyone to use their remaining packages. If we had been able to continue paying payroll and operating expenses, we absolutely would have stayed open while working through this obstacle. Unfortunately, that was simply not possible.
Our focus now is doing everything we can to resolve this issue and complete the sale. The prospective buyer remains committed because she truly loves what has been built here. She has expressed that, if the sale is completed, it is her intention to honor unused tanning packages purchased prior to the transition, and she would also love to have our salon girls become part of her team. However, because the sale has not yet been finalized, we cannot guarantee any specific outcome at this time, but both parties are hopeful and optimistic.
This has been incredibly difficult for our family. We have poured nearly two decades of our lives into this salon and never wanted things to happen this way. We kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and grace as we work toward a resolution.
