Grey coverage. This is the most high maintenance service in my opinion!
Hereās why:
A lot of people donāt realize that full grey coverage usually comes with a very harsh line of demarcation. Once your hair starts growing out, you can see exactly where the color ends and the grey begins, especially with darker colors. Even just a couple weeks of growth can feel super noticeable.
It also usually means committing to touch ups every 4 to 6 weeks to keep everything looking fresh and blended. Missing even one appointment can completely change the look and make the grow out feel much more obvious.
Another thing people donāt talk about enough is how stubborn greys around the face and hairline can be. Those areas tend to be the most resistant, which means they can fade faster or not grab color as evenly as the rest of the hair.
And for clients with finer or thinning hair, solid grey coverage can sometimes make the contrast between the new growth and colored hair appear even stronger, which can draw more attention to sparse areas as the roots grow in.
This is why softer grey blending and dimensional color has become such a popular option lately. It grows out softer, requires less maintenance, and creates a much more natural transition between appointments.
YOU DONāT HATE YOUR GRAY, YOU HATE THE GROW OUT!
