Lately it feels like grief is the prevailing emotion in our lives and our communities. With so much suffering everywhere, it can be easier to detach, become desensitized. The 200,000+ lives we have lost in the past 6 months were precious souls needlessly gone from this world. We deserve to honor the feelings brought about by this collective trauma. Let’s allow our pain to connect us more. Pain only turns into suffering when we let it separate us from others. Today, I will let it open my heart.
