"Hurricane 🌀 Relief Update
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to provide an update on the current situation in Boone specifically. As a volunteer at multiple donation and distribution centers, I can confirm that we are at full capacity when it comes to clothing and supplies. There’s an abundance of clothing, canned food, shovels, buckets, and cleaning supplies,.

What we really need now is to organize local residents to head out into remote communities to help dig up mud and clean up those areas and deliver supplies.

We need housing for the homeless that are in hotels.

That means gas $ ⛽️.

July 1, 2024 the required hours for licensure will increase from 500 to 650. Enroll in massage school before July 1, 2024 to still get in under the current 500 hour requirement.

Emergency Weather Shelter Plan Activated

Due to forecasted overnight temperatures near or below zero, wind chill and/or precipitation, the City and its partners have declared an emergency weather event for the nights of Thursday, January 11, Friday, January 12, Saturday, January 13, Sunday, January 14, and Monday, January 15.

Men seeking overnight shelter can get added to Fort Collins Rescue Mission's bed list by going to the Murphy Center at 242 Conifer St., at the Rescue Mission's main location at 316 Jefferson St., or by calling the Rescue Mission at 970-224-4302.

Women and families seeking shelter should go to Catholic Charities, located at 460 Linden Center Dr.

The Murphy Center's indoor day shelter will be available to all from 8am-5pm on Friday, January 12, Saturday, January 13, Sunday, January 14, and Monday, January 15.
