The basic Budwig diet formula is a two to one ratio of cottage cheese to flaxseed oil mixed for about a minute with an immersion blender. The optimal daily intake is 6 tablespoons of cottage cheese and 3 tablespoons of flax oil with a tablespoon of freshly ground up flax seeds stirred in. We have found it to be super kid friendly and enjoy it with fresh berries on top 😋A few more technical notes to keep in mind…It’s usually recommended in the Budwig Diet that the cottage cheese be low-fat (either 1% or 2%) because it mixes slightly better with the oil, but if whole milk is all that’s available that’s certainly fine as well. #healing 07/18/2023

Follow @kalejunkie for more recipes! BEST EVER EGG SALAD (and no-peel egg hack). Every recipe developer needs a classic egg salad recipe in their collection, so here is mine! It’s super delicious and fantastic for lunches during the week—tangy from the pickles, lots of textures, and if you don’t like mayo, just swap it for greek yogurt. I like to eat it straight from the bowl, in sandwiches, on romaine lettuce leaves, or on a rice cake for crunch!⁣ ⁣ To make this, you can boil and peel eggs the traditional way, but I think it’s a pain in the a**, so this no-peel method is the way to go. Add eggs to a greased loaf pan. Place the loaf pan in a larger baking dish and fill the larger dish with water, up until the level of the eggs. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Once cooled, flip the loaf pan over and chop the eggs.⁣ ⁣ 8 eggs⁣ ¼ cup red onion, finely diced⁣ 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped⁣ 1/4 cup chives, finely chopped⁣ 4 pickles, chopped⁣ 1/2 cup mayo or greek yogurt⁣ 1 tb dijon mustard⁣ 1 tsp salt & 1 tsp ground black pepper⁣ ⁣ First, boil and peel eggs the traditional way, or use the time-saving method I shared above. Once eggs have cooled and you’ve mashed them, add to a large bowl, along with the red onion, parsley, chives, pickles, mayo, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well to coat, taste and adjust seasonings as needed. ENJOY!⁣ ⁣ #eggsalad #healthyeggsalad #lunchrecipes #healthyrecipes #easyrecipes #mealprep #mealpreplunch #mealprepideas #eggsaladrecipe #viralrecipes #highproteinrecipes Reposted from @kalejunkie 07/17/2023
