A lip flip works by relaxing the orbicularis oris muscle around the mouth. Because that muscle helps with activities like drinking from a straw, using a spoon, whistling, or pursing your lips, some patients notice temporary changes in how those movements feel.
For many people, the trade off is worth it. They love the subtle lip enhancement and continue getting lip flips regularly without a second thought.
For others, the sensation isn’t their favorite, and that’s okay too. A lip flip is all about personal preference. The good news is that it’s temporary, and if you decide it’s not for you, there’s no need to do it again.
There is no right or wrong answer. Just what feels best for you.
