Vernon Jackson () gives free haircuts to children with special needs at his barber shop, Noble Barber and Beauty (.bb).

In 2021, Vernon launched what he refers to as The Gifted Event, offering free haircuts to children. He discovered that many kids find the noise in barber shops overwhelming, which makes getting a haircut difficult for them. To address this, he chose to open his shop on his day off, creating a peaceful and quiet environment where kids could acclimate to the setting.

Their mission is both straightforward and powerful: to support people experiencing homelessness through free hair services. Using a mobile hair truck outfitted with two styling stations and a shampoo bowl, they bring care directly to those in need. Beyond haircuts, they also provide hygiene kits, meals, clothing, and—most importantly—genuine conversations that foster connection and dignity.
