Our barbershop has fallen victim to extortion and blackmail!

I wish I was kidding, but yesterday 2/19/26 I received a series of 1 star reviews knocking us down on the google ranking. They seemed to be fake reviews and as I looked deeper into the situation, I was repeatedly texted by an anonymous number/email. They said they were hired by a competing business to post bad reviews and If I wanted them taken down I had to pay them off.

As a small business owner that depends on reputation, google reviews have become the gold standard. They increase our google search (SEO) which is extremely important when someone is looking for a shop and can find us on the Internet. It's simple, the better the reviews the better visibility...the opposite will crush you.

I have attempted to make Google aware of the fraud that is being taken place, but there is a good probability they will never respond or do anything about it. Google does not care.

Please we need your help!
