One of my favorite things about my job is knowing when not to recommend extensions.

She had been an extension client for a few years with me but after talking through her goals, I encouraged her to take them out and embrace her natural hair. And let me tell you… this bob was meant for her.

It fits her personality, brings out her features, and she wears it with so much confidence. Sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t adding more hair, it’s finding the haircut that makes you feel the most like yourself.

Since 7th grade, I’ve known I wanted to do hair. I loved coloring my grandma’s hair, trimming my friends’ hair, ordering extensions from eBay and Sally Beauty, color matching them, and blending them until they looked seamless. Even back then, I knew this industry was where I belonged.

As my career grew, I realized I had another calling. I wasn’t just meant to transform women through their hair, I was meant to build a salon and pour into other stylists.

Owning a salon isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes patience, resilience, and a whole lot of heart. But watching a stylist have that “aha” moment, seeing their confidence grow, celebrating when their books fill up, and watching them achieve goals they once thought were out of reach, that’s the part that fuels my fire.

I still love “doing” hair, but helping other stylists become the best version of themselves has become one of my greatest passions. And I truly believe that’s what I was meant to do. When you find your purpose, the hard days become worth it.

This child has always been one of my biggest hype girls, she hugged my yesterday after giving her a dreamy pink highlight & said “your the best hairstylist I’ve ever had & I’m so lucky to have you” I hope she remembers all the memories we get to have when she comes to the salon with me 🙌🩷 #803

Fun fact, my love language is quality time. I think that is why I love doing hair and building my incredible team. We get to spend so much time together doing what we love! I put a lot of effort into all of my clients relationships, building trust & really listening to what clients love & want.
