Lash besties, which charm would you have chosen?

If I could sit down with my 15-year-old self today… I wouldn’t tell her to have life figured out.

I’d tell her:

Stop trying so hard to fit in.
Stop worrying about whether everybody likes you.
Stop changing pieces of yourself just so you can feel accepted.

At 15, video games were one of my escapes. 🎮 I was also in FFA, and I was still trying to figure out who Gloria even was.

That girl had NO idea where life was going to take her.

She didn’t know that one day she’d build something of her own. She didn’t know she’d find something she genuinely loved doing. And she definitely didn’t know she’d become the woman I am today.

If I could tell her just ONE thing, it would be:

You don’t need everybody to like you. You need to learn to like YOU. 🥹🩷

I just wish you knew that at 15.

The biggest revenge wasn’t becoming prettier.
It wasn’t getting even.
And it wasn’t proving anybody wrong.

It was becoming someone that little girl would’ve been proud of. 🩷

That’s also part of why I care so much about how women feel when they’re in my chair. You never really know what someone has gone through before they walk through your door.

So if one of my childhood bullies wanted to book today?

This one is a little different from my usual beauty posts. 🥹🩷

Most people who sit in my chair know me as Gloria—the woman behind Muse’s Lash & Beauty.

They see the lashes.
They see the brows.
They see the business I’m building.

But they don’t always see what it took for me to get here.

There was a time in my life when drugs had a hold on me, and my life looked completely different.

I had to rebuild.

And somewhere in that rebuilding, I found something I didn’t expect.

Purpose.

Lashes gave me something to work toward. Threading brought back a skill I thought I’d left behind. And slowly, Muse’s Lash & Beauty became something that means more to me than I can put into words.

So every time someone books with me, shares my work, recommends me, comments on a post, or simply cheers me on…

you’re supporting something I fought really hard to build.

And I will never take that for granted. 🥹🩷

For years, I thought speaking up made me the bad person.

I was 10.

It took becoming an adult to understand that I wasn’t a “snitch.” I was a child who heard that another child might be in danger and told the person I trusted most—my mom.

What happened afterward changed me.

Some of it made me defensive.
Some of it made me harder.
But some of it eventually became part of the reason I created Muse’s Lash & Beauty. 🩷

My chair isn’t just a place to get pretty lashes.

I want women to leave feeling seen, heard, cared for…and a little more confident walking back into the real world.
