I want to start showing parts of my life that aren’t just hair related, more cause I’m realizing that’s not my full identity.

Getting to know who I am and what I like to do has been an adventure in itself. I was not someone to want to try new things and lately it’s all that I’ve been doing.

Maybe I’ll do more DIY’s in the future and get to show you all 🤍

Let’s talk Consultation 🗣️

Because I feel as though this is one of the biggest areas of concern I hear from most people.

Clients want to be heard and feel that what they’re looking for matters. When I first started doing hair, I was taught to have a “fast” consultation just so that I could get started. Now that may work for some people, but in the case of making sure that we’re both on the same page I tend to give a consultation that is worth its time.

Making sure that the client knows exactly where we stand, that we’ve gone over all the expectations about the services, but I’m also letting her know what is realistic.

I want to hear your concerns because it helps me to understand where you are coming from but also what you desire. It’s also my job to educate and be able to offer suggestions to those concerns.

I believe honesty is one of the main reasons my clients feel safe sitting in my chair. I will always share what I feel and think before we ever go ahead and begin the service.

Because you deserve the best treatment and to also feel your best at the end of the appointment 🤍🌹

Getting your hair done is such a luxury, and it gives me much pleasure and joy that you all choose to sit in my chair and trust me with your hair. It’s only fair that I also get to experience that same feeling.

Having someone create your hair vision, someone to talk to and shampoo your head while giving a relaxing scalp massage… is the best thing ever 🙏

But seriously it’s my job to make sure that the client experience is memorable and is the same as what I would want done, and hopefully that’s exactly what I give 🤍

This video practically speaks for itself! Recently I’ve witnessed others feeling inadequate and comparing themselves to what they see in person or on social media.

Why is that we’re always trying to KEEP UP with the trends or whatever everyone else is doing? Thats actually exhausting and I’ve been there so I can say this. I’ve spent years trying to figure out who I am and to see that girl in the mirror as precious. It never helped me to say that someone was more worthy than I.

Be your own trend, love the person you see in the mirror looking back at you and accept that you were never meant to be anyone else!

Discipline… “self-control, deep inner training, and the choice to do what is right over what is easy.”

The world can show this as such a negative attribute and I can understand the why. But there’s also power in being able to change that narrative for yourself. Discipline is a form of self care, the easy way isn’t always the best way!

This past year has taught me something about myself, that I absolutely needed structure in my life. To break unhealthy habits that I had created and allow myself to actually work hard and not overthink my abilities.

True Self Care was the thing I was missing in my life along with Jesus. ✝️

Growth shouldn’t be a scary thing, once you can see the other side and the peace that it can actually give, you get to know who you truly are and want ❤️‍🔥
