We’ve seen it too often—out-of-state brides arrive in Florida a week before the wedding, spend hours in the sun to get a natural tan, and end up with a sunburned face. And unfortunately, there’s only so much we can do with makeup on the wedding day when the skin is burned or flaking. Foundation won’t sit evenly, and the makeup can end up looking patchy or separated.

There’s a much better solution: get a spray tan a few days before the wedding. It gives your skin that bronzy, sun-kissed glow, helps cover tan lines (especially for strapless dresses), and makes your makeup look smoother and warmer.

We understand that everyone tells brides what to do and what not to do, and it can feel overwhelming. Sometimes, it even leads to doing things that don’t make you feel comfortable or like yourself on your big day. Spray tanning isn’t for everyone, and it’s definitely not something you should try for the first time the week of your wedding.

This information ISN’T MEANT to add to your to-do list, but to help you better understand how that bronzy, sun-kissed bridal glow is often created. Most brides in the makeup inspiration photos you share with us have had a spray tan. We want to help you see how this look is typically achieved, so you can make the best choice for yourself.

That bronzy, sun-kissed finish is nearly impossible to recreate with makeup alone because we always match your face to your neck and chest. We can’t make your face darker than your body—everything needs to blend seamlessly.

Swipe to see the same makeup look on one of our brides—without a spray tan at her trial and then with a spray tan on the wedding day, just 10 days apart. *And yes, the natural lighting was a bit better too 😉

A LOW BRIDAL PONYTAIL WITH WAVES

A ponytail on your wedding day? Really? Yes — but we’re not talking about your everyday, running-out-the-door ponytail. A bridal ponytail can be fashionable, stylish, and glamorous.

Here’s why it might be the perfect choice for your day:

• Comfort & Longevity – Ideal for long wedding days or beach weddings. A ponytail keeps your hair secure and fuss-free from ceremony to reception.

• Florida Humidity – With the warm, humid air here, a ponytail keeps hair off your neck and face, helping you stay cooler and sweat less.

• Easy to Change for the Reception – Take the ponytail out for the reception and dance the night away with a whole new look.

• Show Off the Dress – Your back details, neckline, and statement earrings deserve the spotlight.

• Can’t Decide Between Up or Down? – A ponytail is the perfect in-between: half-up, half-down.

➕ Bonus: It pairs beautifully with accessories — we added pearls for that little something extra.
