Most people think bodywork is all about muscles.

One of the biggest reasons I specialize in myofascial release is because fascia is so much more than a layer of connective tissue. It surrounds and supports muscles, organs, blood vessels, and nerves, creating a continuous network throughout the entire body.🕸️

Your nervous system relies on constant communication. Research continues to show that fascia is not only richly innervated, but also has semiconductive and piezoelectric properties, meaning it plays a role in how mechanical and electrical information is transmitted throughout the body. ⚡️

When fascia becomes restricted, dehydrated, or loses its ability to glide freely, it changes the environment surrounding the nervous system.

That doesn’t automatically mean fascia is the cause of every symptom, but it helps explain why people can experience persistent tension, guarding, stiffness, or movement patterns that don’t seem to improve by treating muscles alone.

This is why my approach is slow, intentional, and focused on the fascial system. Instead of forcing change, the goal is to restore healthy movement within the tissues so the body can adapt, move, and regulate more efficiently. 🤸‍♀️

When you begin to understand fascia, you begin to understand that the body isn’t made up of separate parts. It’s one interconnected system. 🌀

Healing often starts by changing the environment the body is operating in. 🌞 Less compression on the nerves helps us to feel more balanced, provides better circulation in our circulatory and lymph systems and most of all we can breathe better! 😮‍💨
