The progress we have gained in the last 8 months is unbelievable.

It started with a Saturday back in April, I finished packing up my things for the week, and was getting ready to walk out the door.
I decided to make one last phone call on my way out, regarding a consultation request. I put down my bags and picked up the phone.

After a few short seconds, I could hear the panic on the other end. This couldn’t wait. I was so worried about her that I asked her if she could come by right away. She lived 15 minutes away and the salon was closing in 30 minutes. She made it with 10 minutes to spare, and I’m so glad she did.
That panic I heard over the phone, was even more evident as she sat in my chair. She needed help and I was going to make sure she got it.

Ultimately, she was requesting hair extension services. Hair extensions are not something you typically want to mess with when you are having severe hair loss. But in my head, I knew that if I didn’t offer her some help, she would find someone else to provide this service for her. That scared me.

There is probably twice as many inexperienced, uneducated extension ‘specialists’ out there then there are qualified specialists. And I was not about to let her walk out just to find herself into deeper trouble. After all, much of the damage she had acquired was being caused by “professional” hair extensions.

So with much caution, I offered her the safest method of hair extensions that I know, paired with a hair growth regimen and extremely close monitoring. She signed a waiver, agreeing to take them out if they were causing more harm. And I was so appreciative of her trust in me.

After just 4 weeks of Invisible bead handtied extensions and lots of Zenagen, we began to see an improvement and I saw light at the end of the tunnel.

This right here, is the best part about my job. Even when the end result is not glamorous, and the process is enduring, being able to help someone feel better about themselves, especially on this level, is EVERYTHING. And having the confidence to do so, that’s the cherry on top.

Long story short, never stop bettering yourself and your craft because this confidence, feels good!
