This guest came in with chunky highlights that had become very warm and brassy over time and dry split ends. My goal was to create a softer, more natural blend with dimension while keeping the hair looking healthy and lived-in for a seamless grow out.

What I love:

What I learned:
✏️ Next time I'd add a few more fine highlights through the crown for even more brightness and movement (we did a partial).

• Create clean sections (think like you’re doing color sections)
• Begin at the nape and work upward
• Place the boar bristle brush at the scalp and use gentle, controlled strokes from root to ends
• Repeat through each section, focusing on light pressure to stimulate the scalp — not scratch it
• Finish with a light scalp oil or treatment if needed
