Healthy hair care goes beyond what you put on your strands.
Your hair is part of your body, and nutrition, scalp health, and daily hair-care practices all play a role.
Let’s start looking at the bigger picture! 👑
💬 Have you ever thought about your nutrition as part of your hair-care routine?
10/02/2026
Your hair doesn’t live separately from the rest of you.
Your scalp and follicles are part of your body.
So when something changes with your hair, looking at your shampoo and styling products is important—but that may not be the entire conversation.
Nutrition. Stress. Sleep. Hormonal transitions. Health conditions. Medications. Scalp conditions. Hair-care and styling practices.
There can be many pieces to the puzzle.
That’s why I believe we need to stop looking at the hair alone and start looking at the woman underneath the crown. 👑
Because sometimes hair is one place where a much bigger story begins to show itself.

protective style should actually PROTECT your hair. 👑
Beautiful braids or twists shouldn’t come at the expense of your scalp and edges.
Less unnecessary tension. More intentional care.
What’s your favorite protective style?

Don’t just feed your hair. Nourish the body that grows it. 👑🌿
Healthy hair conversations can include what goes on your hair and how you nourish your body.
Hair care from the inside and outside—that’s the bigger picture.

Your scalp is skin too.
We care for our faces, moisturize our bodies—and sometimes completely forget the skin underneath our hair. 👀
Healthy hair care includes healthy scalp practices.
How well are you caring for yours?

Your hair is part of your body. It is not separate from it.
We often treat hair as though it lives in its own little world.
Hair is dry? Buy another product.
Hair is breaking? Try another oil.
Hair is thinning? Find another serum.
But here’s something I want us to start thinking about differently:
Your hair grows from a living follicle that is supported by your body.
That means the nutrients you consume—protein, u iron, zinc, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals—are part of the bigger picture of supporting normal hair growth and maintaining healthy hair.
Now, does eating one avocado magically give you long hair by Friday? 😂 Absolutely not.
And good nutrition doesn’t replace proper hair care.
We need both.
We nourish the body from the inside, while caring for the hair and scalp from the outside.
That’s why when I talk about food one day and hair the next, I’m really not changing the subject. 😉
I’m talking about the whole woman.
Over the next few weeks, I’m going to connect some of these dots between nutrition, scalp health, hair care and healthy hair practices.
Because sometimes the hair conversation needs to go deeper than the product shelf. 👑
Let me ask you:
Before today, did you ever think about your nutrition as part of your hair-care routine?

Dry hair doesn’t automatically mean “add more oil.” 👑
Oil and moisture aren’t the same thing. Sometimes the answer is understanding how you’re cleansing, conditioning, moisturizing, and retaining moisture—not simply adding another layer of oil.
What do you reach for first when your hair feels dry?

Someone may tell you:
“It’s just hair.”
But when you’re the woman watching your edges become thinner…
Seeing more scalp than you remember…
Or standing over the sink wondering why there’s suddenly so much hair in your hands…
It doesn’t always feel like “just hair.”
Hair can be connected to identity, culture, confidence, memories, and how we recognize ourselves.
So yes—we can talk about scalp care, styling and hair science.
But we should also make room for the woman experiencing the change.
You deserve to be heard before someone tries to sell you a miracle in a bottle. 🤎👑

We call them protective styles…
But is the style actually protecting your hair? 👀
A braid, twist, crochet, sew-in, or other low-manipulation style isn’t automatically protective simply because your natural hair is tucked away.
Too much tension.
Too much weight.
Neglecting the scalp.
Keeping the style beyond what your hair can tolerate.
All of that matters.
A truly protective style should help you reduce unnecessary manipulation while respecting your scalp, edges, and strands.
Protective styling isn’t just about how beautiful the style looks on Day 1.
It’s also about the condition of your crown when the style comes down. 👑
