Guys… idk really where to start other than to say, I have mentally and physically struggled to get this shop put back together again. Not only the shop, but myself as a mother, woman, barber, business owner, friend, and so much more. My kids have been with me throughout so many things in life and it hasn’t been easy. I prayed hard for God to close doors that need to be closed and to open doors that need to be closed and sometimes God kept slamming doors, only for me to fight to reopen them. This shop, however, has been a major pain in my ass to say the least. Pipes leaking, AC messing up, toilet flooding, sinks leaking, floors needing replaced bc of the water, yet, here I stand today, with someone that I really, for the first time in I don’t even know how long, that I feel is here for the long run. Not only is he one of the most amazing barbers in this entire area, but he is someone I can immediately tell cares about others, and something even crazier, someone who actually has that fire in him to make people feel better and look better, and actually walks people through how to care for their hair. This guy is a veteran, and could have stayed at his job he had, but decided to take a leap of faith and go to barber academy years ago. He has traveled around to different shops and worked his butt off for his family. He has created some of the best hair products I’ve ever seen, or smelled. Now, with all of this being said, this man shows up and shows out, in the most humble way I’ve ever seen. To those I’ve made mad, or those I’ve been late on or been hard to get back in touch with, this guy is the answer to my barbershop prayers. If you want results, good hair, and a barber who actually gives a s**t, this guy is the real deal. I don’t espect to see everyone running back through the barbershop doors immediately, but I hope you all come in and at least check out The renovations and meet Jrod and let us hopefully be your barbers. I’ve let more than just my clients down. I’ve let myself down a lot and I needed something to happen bc I’m just one woman, and I’ve been pulling the weight for too long alone. I’m getting back in the groove of things and trying to find someone to help out at the shop. Please spread the word! Thank you to all who have been patient with me while I have taken time off with my kiddos and spent time working behind closed doors to get our lives back in order and back on track! We’re doing soooo much better than we were months ago and I’m happy to announce I am officially ready to get my head back in the cutting game! If I have not responded, chances are, I was not able to get your message, or my phone was shut off during that time. I still can’t access messenger most days so please text me for a faster response! Those who know me know I’m better with that than answering a call most days! Next month will be nearly a year since I have been at work full time.
