We are real life people that have real life issues...

Yesterday... we were partnered up with Salvation Army resource fair for back to school to do haircuts for the kids... We were supposed to be there at 3:30pm...

3:35pm we run out of gas on the way to the event ⛽️ 😤 (early arrival was to help us get parking before the crowd)

Just as we are pushing our car off the street our neighbor Carrie Wilson was driving by and was able to stop and run us for some gas... (God is always right on time)

We got gas get to the place, no parking... we find the perfect spot not too far from the doors... (whole time Britt was already 12 haircuts in for the day and over it).

Its almost 4:30pm... we have already missed some folks and they assumed we were a no show... (We didnt have any other contact information outside of email)

Things started slow 🐌 and it was terribly hot... but God showed out and did his thing... we ran into some people for connections and some where between 25 to 30 haircuts last night... some were just clean ups others were complete transformations...

These kids deserve to show up to school with confidence and feel like the look just as good... for some a haircut is just another task that happens every so often... but for some of these kids... it brightens their whole world for a while...

It is always the events that are the toughest to get to that fills our hearts so full... giving is truly greater that receiving 🙏

I really hate taking pictures of my work... but this Lil man's bald fade had him feeling himself for sure 🥰
