We too have this response/reflex triggered upon first waking or being stationary for prolonged periods of time. This is your cue to STREEEETCHHHHH.

A common question im asked is
“how often should I stretch?”
The answer is at LEAST 3 times each day for 15-30 minutes.
•FIRST, stretch as soon as we wake up. It’s important to stretch any muscles that have been contracted during sleeping hours,promote blood flow throughout the body and prepare for the day.

•SECOND, stretch mid day. Wether you’ve been at work or at home it’s important to give your body a mid day stretch to “check in” with any aches and pains due to your activity.

•THIRD, stretch RIGHT BEFORE sleep. It’s important to give your body that last stretch of the day from all your activity. It helps to wind your body and mind down and prepare for sleep. Stretching before bed will also promote a better quality nights rest, helping you to feel better,less restricted when you wake up.

Give these tips a try for 2 weeks to notice the difference, YOU WONT regret it.


Feelings are fickle, they change moment to moment. Forget not that “motivated” is a feeling.
