More tools in the toolbox! Something I have found frustrating is my inability to work with scar tissue and the lack of mobility it creates in the tissue. So I did something about it! If you have scar tissue and need work, I would love to be of assistance. ScarWork will be blended in to my usual sessions as needed or a ScarWork session will available to book online for those who need a dedicated session.
Please don’t hesitate if you have questions!

Is your body asking for support? Here’s some signs that it is.

MLD for thee?
Considering getting manual lymphatic drainage? Here’s what you should know.
1. How much training has the therapist had? And where did they train? A therapist should have between 35 and 40 hours roughly after their first training . MLD is not cheap to take and is very specific to learn. The widely held consensus in the massage community is that MLD must be learned in person. Some good schools of MLD are
Vodder, Chikly , Leduc and Foldi.
2. Do they know and understand lymphatic anatomy? Most therapists are not taught about the lymphatic system in school. I wasn’t and we were simply told that Vodder method was the best way to go. The therapist should be able to explain to you why they’re doing what they’re doing and what to expect.
3. Has the therapist had continuing education in specialized lymphatic work? Such as cancer, plastic surgery, postop, etc..
I say all of this simply to say as a client, please do your research and find a qualified therapist to fit your needs. I personally do not see all people that reach out to me for lymphatic work as sometimes I do not feel I have the skill set to work with them and refer out . A trained therapist will be happy to show you their credentials.
(This is my professional opinion based on my experience. This is not directed in any way towards anyone else. Unfortunately MLD is not properly regulated at this time and people are being injured unnecessarily. )
I know this is a bit raw, but it’s something I need to talk about.
I recently had someone tell me it took them awhile to schedule because of their body. Which made me very sad.
I know that massage therapy and body work can be very vulnerable and can be uncomfortable, especially if you’re seeing a new therapist.
As a professional, I’m trained to look at your muscles, fascia, posture and potential areas of swelling. I’m focused on what my hands or feet are feeling, if you’re comfortable, if I need adjust pressure etc. My table is a safe space for everyone.
As a massage therapist I don’t care one snap about the following:
Clients weight
Cellulite, Scar Tissue or Stretch marks
Body body hair or pedicured feet
What I do care about:
Kindness and consideration.
Mutual respect.
Open communication
Good hygiene.
(And no strong fragrances, such as perfumes as I’m very sensitive.)
If you have a sunburn or something transmissible then please wait to schedule until you’re better.
That’s it. I got into bodywork to work with bodies.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions ✨

Had the privilege of attending in Howell, MI this past weekend. Thank you so to for sharing your knowledge and patient instruction and to for hosting.
Sarga is myofascial barefoot bodywork. It focuses on the fascia and creating movement in the tissue. (Think helps with really sticky spots that won’t budge.) It’s much slower work than the style of barefoot massage I currently practice.
If you are established barefoot client and interested in receiving Sarga please let me know. As a practitioner in training, I must complete a set amount client evaluations to submit for certification. Thank you!

Do you like broad, deep pressure? Barefoot massage is a great option if you enjoy broad, deep pressure without feeling like you have been hit by a bus after a massage.
By using a broad surface such as feet, allows the body to relax and enter rest and digest.
If you are sore, tight or plain stressed out, barefoot massage is a great option.
