The photos you'll treasure for a lifetime aren't always the ones you expect.
They're the quiet pause before you walk down the aisle. The spin that reminds you your dress is finally on. The way your hands naturally find each other. The toast that marks the beginning of forever.
Those moments deserve beauty that never asks for your attention. No fixing. No worrying. No wondering if everything is still in place.
Our job is to create hair and makeup that lets you stay fully present, so every memory is about the people you're with, not the way you look.
That's what we mean when we say photo-ready is the baseline.

Layers aren’t just for adding volume!
They can be added to your haircut for several different reasons, depending on your hair type, density, texture, and the shape you’re wanting.
✂️ Movement
Layers can help your hair move more naturally instead of sitting in one heavy shape.
✂️ Removing bulk
Strategic layering can take weight out of the ends without necessarily making your hair look thinner overall.
✂️ Adding volume
The right layers can create lift and give your hair more body, especially when paired with the right styling technique.
✂️ Creating shape
Layers can be used to build a specific silhouette and help your haircut complement your features.
The key is that not every head of hair needs the same kind of layers. Your haircut should be customized around what your hair naturally wants to do and what you want it to achieve.
Layers are a tool. It’s all about knowing where, how much, and why. 🤍
Thinking about a sleek bun for your wedding day? Read this first. 🤍
A sleek bun looks simple, but creating the right sleek bun for you is all about the details.
•Your hair type matters
Length, density, texture, and even your natural growth patterns all affect the shape and size of your bun. You may not need extensions, but they can be a great option if you want more fullness or a specific shape.
•Placement changes everything
A low bun can feel classic and romantic, while a higher bun can create more lift and elongate your overall silhouette. Your stylist can help determine what placement complements your features best.
•Sleek doesn’t have to mean glass-like
Do you want a super polished, glass smooth finish? Or something sleek with a little softness and movement? Those small differences can completely change the feel of your bridal look.
•Your dress matters too
A sleek bun can be the perfect choice when you want your dress, neckline, earrings, veil, or hair jewelry to have their moment without your hairstyle competing for attention.
•Don’t forget about comfort
You’re going to be wearing this style for HOURS. The right placement, amount of tension, and weight of any extensions or accessories can make a huge difference in how you feel throughout your wedding day.
And here’s the biggest thing I want you to remember:
Your inspiration photo is a starting point, not a blueprint. 🤍
The most beautiful version of a sleek bun is one that is customized to your hair, your features, your dress, and your overall bridal vision.
Your wedding hairstyle should look like you, just a little more elevated.
Not shown: arguments about homework and trying to get my child up in the morning 😪
My off days are no time for relaxing (unless I get to lay in the treatment room 😌). My Wednesdays and Thursdays are full of errands, especially since school is back in!
Appointments, gym, grocery, cooking, laundry, cleaning, morning and nightly routines… The list never ends!
Practice makes perfect when doing blowouts on yourself! I’ve learned that taking things one section at a time, finding the right product regimen, working on basically dry hair, and getting the motions down is key and makes it less overwhelming. Sometime brides come into their trial with a vision of EXACTLY what they want.
And sometimes, once we recreate that vision on you, you realize… it doesn’t feel like you at all.
Maybe the style doesn’t feel quite right once you’re wearing it. Maybe certain details, like extensions, are needed to achieve the look, and that’s an investment you don’t want to make. In that case, we pivot.
That’s exactly what trials are for. 🤍
It’s our chance to get down to the nitty-gritty: talk through your vision, see what’s possible with your hair, discuss what it will take to get there, and make adjustments until we find something that feels like you.
And sometimes? It comes together exactly as you envisioned, giving you that reassurance that you’ve made the right choice for your wedding day.
No matter the outcome, you should leave your trial feeling confident in your plan and be excited to wear it down the aisle.
